Contagious is a great “Infected” struck a note with me. The characters return and are less likable, believable, and interesting than before. Margaret tries to cope with the Amos situation, and Mister Burkle the postman gets a special delivery.
The new twist introduced in the second book is that certain humans who’ve been infected w Contagious picks up right where Infected left off, featuring most of the same characters and dealing with much the same basic issue: I also liked the idea of the virus being able to evolve and to adapt so no matter how hard the government tries to fight it, it somehow gains the upper hand I thought it was an interesting way of keeping the story going.

December 16, at 3: Infected has been translated into several languages. We get a slgler peek at how the Jewel’s uninvited guests are affecting them. But it sounds like these are not my sort of reading material. The comparisons to King come not from plot, but from character and gore.
